Police DAV Public School Patiala celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchami

26 January is an important day in the history of India, the day when it became a Republic. This day is celebrated throughout the nation as Republic Day. Keeping this in mind, the day was celebrated by Police DAV Public School Patiala, with great enthusiasm.

A special assembly was organised by the Tulip House for students of classes Nursery to 12. Students were excited to be a part of it.

Manjinder Kaur of class 11 was the anchor for the function. Ekamveer Singh of class 8 delivered a speech highlighting the importance of India being a Republic. Students of class Nursery to 1 presented a dance performance adding to the patriotic zeal. A patriotic song was also presented by the  students of class 3&4 which mesmerized everyone. Teachers of primary wing also presented a song for the tiny tots to sing and learn the lyrics. Students of class 3 also recited a poem showing their love for their nation.

Students of class 5 Presented poems on the occasion of Basant Panchami. They also presented a skit with a message to avoid using ‘Chinese dor’  while kite flying.  They motivated students to fly kites with caution and  under elderly supervision. Students of Dance department presented a dance increasing the festive feel. Ekampreet Kaur of class 9 delivered a speech informing students about the importance of celebrating Basant Panchami.

Various events like Tricolour Dish Making Competition was organised for students 3to 7 wherein they displayed their culinary and creative skills. A presentation was shown during the meeting highlighting the efforts of the students. The  winners were awarded by the school principal, Mr Mohit Chug.

Police DAV Public School Patiala celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchami. He applauded their efforts and greeted the attendees on the occasion. He further added that one should be proud of the rich and vast heritage of our country. The youth must be aware about it and scale it to great heights. He inspired everyone to strive for excellence.  The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
