Govt Rajindra Hospital’s MS action surprises everyone

In a surprise move, Dr HS Reikhi, medical superintendent of Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala has tendered his resignation from the post.
As per unconfirmed reports, Dr Reikhi has submitted his resignation to avoid to be apart of any controversy related to jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra. Gajjan Majra 61, who is in judicial custody in connection with a bank fraud case, has been admitted in the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala since May 11.
As per Govt Rajindra Hospital records the jailed MLA was discharged from the cardiology department of the hospital on June 6 but he was back in the emergency on June 7 and admitted in the urology department.
As per sources, Dr Reikhi submitted his resignation on last Friday. Due to three holidays the matter came to light on Tuesday (June 11,2024)
When contacted Dr Reikhi he admitted that he has resigned from the post due to ill health. He added that “he is suffering from cervical issue due to long sitting. Even feeling numbness in fingers. To avoid further deterioration of health, I decided to submit my resignation. Moreover, I am on summer vacations till next month.”
As per available information the charge of MS has been given to Dr Rajneesh, HoD Psychiatry department.
