Punjab transport department has given the additional charge of section officers of 10 districts to the existing section officers after the recent restructuring of the department.
As per available information, section officer is deputed by the finance department in the transport department to deal with the financial work in the RTO offices, at district
After the restructuring of the transport department and establishing 23 regional transport offices, the finance department has yet to appoint section officers in all the district offices.
