15th Programme on National Education Policy (NEP): Orientation and Sensitization begins at MMTTC Punjabi University

Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Kamal Kishore Yadav, UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) Punjabi University, Patiala started an 8-day Programme on National Education Programme (NEP):Orientation and Sensitization.
The purpose of this orientation programme is to prepare teachers for academic excellence, effective professional performance and active engagement in the task of national reconstruction and to popularize National Education Policy. Prof. Raman Maini, Director of the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala, stated that the programme, organized under the guidelines of the UGC-MHRD, will be conducted online from September 19 to 30, 2024.
Prof. Maini welcome the chief guest of the day Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor, I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala, Vice Chancellor (Additional Charge) Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, Vice Chancellor (Additional Charge) Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, Firozpur, Course Coordinators and all participants. He thanked Course Coordinators Dr Shelly Arora, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Dr Nirvair Neeru, Department Of Computer Science and Engineering, Punjabi University Patiala for their efforts in inviting Internationally renowned resource persons for the NEP Orientation & Sensitization Program”
The chief guest of the day Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor, I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala emphasized that NEP 2020 is a total transformation of teaching pedagogy and we are coming closer to global standards. He said that the teachers should attend these NEP Orientation Programme to understand the complete structure of NEP 2020. He appreciated the efforts of Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala for organising these Orientation and Sensitization Programmes.

Dr Nirvair Neeru introduced the participants about various themes of the National Education Policy ,encouraged them for active participation and proposed vote of thanks.
