174 Power thief’s penalized by PSPCL Faridkot circle

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) campaign against theft of electricity in Punjab is getting momentum day-by-day and with an outcome of excellent results.
Er. Sandeep Garg SE distribution Faridkot Circle of PSPCL disclosed that under Faridkot Operation Circle teams of Faridkot, Baghapurana, Kotkapura, City Moga and Suburban Moga Operation Divisions have checked the premises of 861 consumers and imposed a fine of sum of rupees 19.06 lacs fine for theft of electricity, unauthorised use of electricity and other violations to 174 consumers on 16.9.2023.
He also said that different divisions under Faridkot Operation circle have imposed total fine of Rupees 55.84 lacs fine to 580 consumers for various violations since 1st September to 16 September.
Meanwhile PSPCL spokesman has appealed to all its consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state. Consumers/informers can also inform about theft of electricity on Whatsapp no 96461-75770 PSPCL assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
