4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC Adopts Village Hasanpur, Patiala

4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC, Patiala under the NCC Group Headquarter, Patiala formally adopted the village Hasanpur, on Sirhind Road, Patiala on 19 Aug 2017 in consonance with the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan being celebrated all over India.

On the occasion, about 40 NCC Senior Wing Cadets of Govt College for Girls, Patiala and staff of 4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC, Patiala made an efforts to make village Hasanpur neat and clean and sensitize the villagers to assume collective responsibility for the cleanliness of the village environment. Residents were also made aware of the social evil of open defecation and for improving sanitation in the surroundings. Cadets interacted personally with independent families of the village in small groups. Students of Govt Elementary School, Hasanpur also participated in the ” Swachta hi Sewa” campaign in large numbers.

4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC at Village Hasanpur

    Amrik Singh Thind, Sarpanch, Hansanpur extended his support to 4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC and thanked them for adopting Hasanpur village. He met the cadets and was delighted to see their overwhelming response. Amarjit Singh and Kuldip Singh Members of the Panchayat participated in the campaign and coordinated all the activities during the event. Col Aseem Tandon, Commanding Officer 4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC, Patiala led the cadets and motivated the local residents to come forward and make their village a model village in Patiala.
