53rd Foundation Day of General Insurance Employees All India Association celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm

With great zeal and enthusiasm, the Employees and Officers in Public Sector General Insurance Companies celebrated the 53rd Foundation Day of General Insurance Employees All India Association throughout the country.

On this occasion, the employees and officers fondly remembered the great stalwarts Comrade Madan Mohan, Com K.S.B Pillai, Comrade P. Ravindranathan, Comrade J.G. Kothare and many Living Legendary Leaders and comrades who dedicated their sweat and blood to strengthen the Public Sector General Insurance Industry and the Working class movement in PSGICs.

The Public Sector General Insurance Companies are very important part of the Indian Economy and the social fabric of the country. The Public Sector General Insurance Industry has been successfully implementing many social schemes of the Government viz Aushaman Bharat, Fasal Beema Yojna, Crona Kawach and has been providing insurance cover at very cheap rates to the Farmers, Deprived Section and stood with the Citizens at the time of Riots and Strike and Natural Calamities.

The leadership of General Insurance Employees All India Association hold gate meetings and functions in many prominent cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, Delhi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Patna, Banglore and at various parts of the country.

At Delhi Headquarters, Comrade Binoy Viswam, M.P Rajya Sabha and Chairman of GIEAIA and Comrade Amarjeet Kaur General Secretary AITUC and President of GIEAIA, hoisted the flag and addressed the comrades. They called upon everyone to intensify the working-class movement in PSGICs and assured their full support.

Comrade Binoy Viswam and Comrade Amarjeet Kaur will be meeting with the Finance Minister to address following burning issues of employees, Officers and Pensioners

1) Merger of Public Sector General Insurance Companies

2) To remove the Clause of Performance Linked Wage Revision

3) To roll-back the wrong decision in the name of KPi, Restructuring and Closer and Merger of Offices irrationally.

4) To initiate recruitment in All Class of Workforce

5) To increase Family Pension to 30% and enhancement of NPS to 14%.

6) To request the Govt to infuse required capital to the Companies as they have been serving the Nation and paying huge funds on the various Government initiated Social Schemes

7) To form Regulatory Body to ensure check and balances on TPAs and Brokers and to take strict 2

action against the higher officials who are violating the rule of cooling period and working against the interest of the PSGICs

53rd Foundation Day of General Insurance Employees All India Association celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm . Com Binoy Viswam and Com Amarjeet Kaur inaugurated the new union office of GIEAIA.

The entire leadership pledged to fulfil the dreams of the predecessors who worked tirelessly to nationalize the general insurance industry, protect PSGICs and safeguard the Rights and Dignity of all Employees and Officers.
