6th Convocation-President of India presents Gold Medals to meritorious students of Central University of HP

While presiding over the second session of the 6th Convocation ceremony of Central University of Himachal Pradesh at Dharamshala in Kangra district today, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that the National Education Policy has motivated us to move in a new direction. “What will be the future of the country and where we have to go will decide the national education policy”, said the Governor.
He said that today is an important day for every student as they were going to join the society with a degree. He added that education was a life long process and degree holders were ready to get new education from today.
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that by getting education, we have not only to become job-seekers, but to use degrees as job-provider. He said that it was more important to understand the problems of the society and how to deal with them, for which serious efforts were required. They would be identified with the institution from where they have received your education, he added.
The Governor said that the future of the country would be decided in the coming 25 years. He said that it would depend on the thoughts of the youth as young generation was going to give us the ‘Amrit Kaal’ and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has faith in our young generation.
He said that the goal of life should be set and it was important to understand it. “We have to change our goal from letter to spirit and try to achieve the goal”, said the Governor.
On the occasion, the Governor conferred degrees to the students of the University in the presence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur.
On the occasion, Anurag Singh Thakur said that the Central University was also imparting creative values of life to the students besides academic excellence. He said that it was a happy moment for all of us that the President graced the occasion. He said that youth were the future of the country but they have to be capable enough to face the challenges of the future.
Anurag SinghThakur said that “network is your networth”. He called upon the students to contribute to the Nation during the next 25 years in the “Amrit kaal” and said that our country was a young Nation, which was our strength and power.
