The 77th Independence Day Celebration at Ryan Patiala were truly a memorable one which created an ambiance of patriotism, unity, integrity and harmony as the Celebrations were held at 4 different levels for maximum participation of students.The celebrations were a burst of colours of patriotism as both the school branches were decorated with the elements of Tricolor.

The Montessori students celebrated the 77th Independence Day of our country with great zeal and enthusiasm. The sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the students. The special assembly commenced by seeking the Lord’s blessing. The presentation of patriotic songs filled the environment with patriotism. Students were dressed up as freedom fighters. On the occasion Oratory Competitions like Patriotic rhyme recitation and Slogan speaking were also conducted.

Std. I & IIFreedom in the mind, Faith in the words.Pride in our souls.Let’s salute the nation on the auspicious day.

Std 1 & 2 students pledged for the country in which the Ryanites took oath of allegiance to the democratic values of our country.  Melodious patriotic songs were sung by the teachers and students. Little Ryanites spoke a few lines on our famous freedom fighters and recited patriotic poems. Students participated in various activities like thumb printing and show and tell. Std-II students presented a patriotic dance. Students were also told that Independence Day marks the end of British rule in 1947 and the establishment of a free and independent Indian nation. They were also informed about the significance of our tricolour flag, our freedom fighters and how India became an independent nation on August 15, 1947.

Std. III – VIIIOn this occasion students of Std III to Std V role played as famous Indian Freedom Fighters. Std VIII participated in Poster Making and Std VI & VII participated in Slogan Writing Competition. During the special Assembly, Blessings of Lord Almighty were taken in the form of prayer songs and the choir group sang a few heart-warming patriotic songs. The stage came alive with the vibrant rhythm of Bhangra, that embodied the jubilant spirit of Independence Day and merged culture with patriotism. Adorned in tricolour attire, the dancers exuded energy and pride as they moved to the beat of the dhol.

A heart- touching enactment dedicated to the soldiers and the brave fighters was also presented. Our Principal, Mrs. Pooja Sharma gave an emphatic message to all present to reinforce the values of unity, resilience, and the unyielding pursuit of justice, that Independence Day embodies and emphasises the students to be responsible citizens of India to lead and safeguard this democratic and secular nation.

Std. IX – XIIAn atmosphere of national pride was kept alive as the students of Std. IX – XII celebrated independence day with pomp and splendour. In the Special assembly the senior Ryanites gave brilliant performances by reciting Patriotic Poems, delivered speeches elaborating the importance of freedom and the vital role played by the great Indian freedom fighters and Inter House Jugalbandi Competition on the theme ‘Azaad Hind’. The students gave a spellbound bhangra performance. The Principal, Mrs. Pooja Sharma addressed the students and announced the results of Inter-House Jugalbandi Competition.

Independence Day Celebrations at Polo Ground, Patiala – 15.08.2023

91 Ryanites of Std 7 to Std 11 and all teachers & staff members participated in the India’s 77th State Independence Day Celebrations held at Polo Ground, Patiala on Tuesday, amid tight security arrangements. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann hoisted the national flag at a state-level function in Patiala.On the occasion chocolates were distributed to all the students present for the celebrations.
