Punjab Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education & Research Minister Dr. Balbir Singh today announced that the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna is receiving an overwhelming response from residents across the state. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has ensured accessible, reliable and free healthcare services for all citizens.

Addressing a press conference at Circuit House, Patiala, Dr. Balbir Singh said that people are greatly benefiting from improved health facilities and free treatment under this scheme, which reflects the government’s strong commitment to strengthening public healthcare.

Dr. Balbir Singh appealed to all residents to carry their Voter Card and Aadhaar Card when visiting any Common Service Centre (CSC) for registration. He informed that volunteers of the Punjab Youth Development Board have been involved in the facilitation process and have already generated nearly 3.5 lakh receipts for card creation.

To meet the increasing public demand, the Health Department has partnered with Suvidha Centres to organize large-scale camps across Punjab. “A total of 800 camps will be organized across the state. CHCs have been directed to speed up registration while volunteers are conducting door-to-door outreach to ensure maximum coverage,” Dr. Balbir Singh added.

Thanking the people of Punjab for their overwhelming response, Dr. Balbir Singh reminded beneficiaries to carry their Aadhaar and Voter Card when they visit any empanelled hospital. He stated that most corporate hospitals are now empanelled under the scheme, along with hospitals associated with IMA, livasa, Park and others. VLEs have been deployed inside hospitals to generate cards on the spot for patient convenience.
