Patiala Heart Institute organized Heart check-up camp

As many as 150 employees were examined during a Patiala Heart Institute, Patiala free heart check-up at GSK (Glaxo Smithkline Beecham) Factory, Nabha today.
During camp, free services of cardiologist consultation, blood pressure monitoring and ECG were offered to employees besides a free diet consultation provided by a nutritionist of Patiala Heart Institute.
Later while addressing a talk on health heart, Dr. Birdevinder Singh, Sr. Interventional Cardiologist at Patiala Heart Institute raised awareness on how cardio-vascular disease has risen ten times among younger people over the last few decades.
He also highlighted that medical attention should be sought at the earliest if there is any chest pain along with breathlessness, profuse sweating, nervousness or vomiting.
He advised adopting effective preventive methods and timely check-ups as key to reducing heart related problems to a significant level.
Speaking during occasion, Dilshad Singh Sidhu, COO of Patiala Heart Institute said , “Coronary Artery Disease is a major lifestyle disease and one should strive for an active and healthy lifestyle.”
