Extension Lecture on Career Planning held at Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala

The Training, Placement, and Career Guidance Cell of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, organized an extension lecture on November 27, 2024, under the able guidance of the college Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. The key speakers for the session were Dr.Roopsi Pahuja, Career Counselor, DBEE, Patiala, and Thakur Sourav, Career Officer, DBEE, Patiala.

The session aimed to provide students with valuable insights into stress management and career planning. Dr.Roopsi Pahuja conducted an engaging session on managing stress effectively and guided students through the process of registering and creating an ID at the Employment Exchange Office.

Thakur Sourav further enriched the session by sharing essential tips on preparing for government jobs. He highlighted the importance of setting clear career goals, creating an effective study plan, and maintaining focus to achieve success in competitive exams.The College Principal commended the efforts of the placement cell for organizing such an informative session.

The program was organized by Dr.Rajni Bala (Incharge, Training, Placement, and Career Counseling Cell) in collaboration with Dr.Gazal Aggarwal, Asst. Prof.Tarnjit Kaur, and Dr.Gurpreet Kaur.

Around 110 students from B. Com-II, B.Com-III, BCA-II, BCA-III, and BBA-I attended the session.The session received excellent feedback from students, who found it highly beneficial and inspiring.
