Tej Partap Singh Phoolka takes charge as Barnala DC

Tej Partap Singh Phoolka, a 2009-batch IAS officer, assumed the charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Barnala on Thursday here at District Administrative Complex. Previous DC, Dharam Pal Gupta, has been transferred as Chief Administrator of Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority, SAS Nagar.
Before joining at Barnala, Phoolka has been working as Special Secretary of Housing & Urban Development department along with the additional charge of Chief Administrator of PUDA.
Immediately after assuming charge, Tej Partap Singh Phoolka said that along with speedy redressal of public grievances, he would also ensure the proper disposal of benefit of various social welfare schemes being run by the government.
Phoolka said that apart from good governance, he would also put his best to ensure maximum participation of voters in the upcoming general elections. He added that the district administration has been committed to organise peaceful, fair and transparent elections.
On this occasion, SSP Barnala Harjit Singh, ADC (General) Rohee Dugg, ADC (development) Parveen Kumar, SP Sharanjit Singh, DDPO Sanjeev Sharma, DSP Rajesh Chibbar among various others were also present.
