Patiala’s special child Milanmeet Kaur brings laurel for city; DC honored her for her achievement

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav today honoured Milanmeet Kaur, a student of Patiala School for the Deaf and Blind, for her outstanding achievement in winning gold and bronze medals in judo at the 10th Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Congratulating Milanmeet Kaur, her parents Balwinder Kaur and Dilbagh Singh, and the school management, Dr. Yadav described her as the pride of Patiala and a beacon of inspiration for others. “Milanmeet has created history by excelling on the international stage and bringing glory to the nation with her remarkable achievement,” she said.
Milanmeet, a Class VIII student who is deaf and hard of hearing, clinched the gold and bronze medals in the 48 kg weight category. Dr. Yadav lauded her immense sports talent and said, “She has demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, setting an example for her peers. It is a moment of pride to congratulate Milanmeet and her family on this extraordinary accomplishment.”
