PSGICs employees passed dissent notice against overdue emoluments revision

In the conciliation meeting before the Chief Labour Commissioner on long pending Wage Revision, on 14 percent Employer Contribution for national pension scheme (NPS) & Minimum 30 percent FPS, Representatives of Unions/Associations, general insurance public sector association (GIPSA) and department of financial services (DFS) officials participated in the meeting.

General Insurance Employees All India Association (GIEAIA) Class 1,3&4 was represented by Trilok singh, Satish Jindal, Gulshan kumar and Dhruv Nanda.

GIPSA officials and DFS officials updated the developments and referred to the meetings of various Associations with Ministry officials.

“We lodged our strong protest on the casual & lethargic attitude of the GIPSA management and DFS officials on our justified demands despite better financial results by the PSGICs. All the unions and associations opposed the casual approach of DFS, GIPSA and the Finance Ministry” said Trilok Singh, General Secretary, GIEAIA

“We strongly reiterated our demand for parity to be maintained with LIC in the WR to be concluded within fixed timeframe.   RLC (C) listened to our viewpoints in detail and advised DFS and GIPSA officials to ensure conclusion of the process in a time bound manner. He further advised DFS and GIPSA to give the timeline for settlement of the issues” added Darshan kumar Wadhwa, Secretary General,GIEAIA, Class 1 wing.

It was agreed that DFS shall hold a meeting with GIPSA by first week of January, 2025 to conclude on these issues.

It was also agreed that GIPSA shall hold a bilateral meeting with the Associations before the end of January, 2025 point to point on the issues and Charter of demands.

PSGICs employees passed dissent notice against overdue emoluments revision . RLC(Central) also advised the Associations to withdraw the strike call in view of the ongoing conciliation proceedings.

“Next date of conciliation meeting has been fixed as 3rd February, 2025 at 11.30 AM.  GIEAIA believes that the DFS &GIPSA management will Honour the decision before the CLC, failing which we along with other unions and associations will be forced to go for series of action programs including Hunger strike, Parliament march and strike actions throughout the country” added Trilok Singh.
