Rupnagar administration takes action against De-Addiction centre

Sub Divisional Magistrate Rupnagar Sachin Pathak informed that the owner of Seerat Hospital Dr. Amit Bansal was booked by the Vigilance Department under FIR No. 12 dated 31 December 2024 under Section 7, 7A, PC Act 1988 (Amendment) Act 2018.

SDM Rupnagar Sachin Pathak said that as per the instructions of Director Health and Family Welfare Department Punjab and Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Mr. Himanshu Jain, Sirat Hospital has been sealed and all the stock registers have been taken into its possession and the medicines have been sealed in the hospital cupboards after double locking them.

He said that 22 hospitals of the owners of this hospital located all over Punjab are being sealed sequentially, under which this action is being taken by them. He said that during today’s action, no patient was found admitted in the hospital. He said that during this action, he has received full support from the residents near the hospital and these people were also making complaints to the district administration from time to time and the closure of this hospital will also give relief to these people.

He said that the license of this hospital has been suspended immediately. He said that the patients who were getting treatment from this hospital can get their treatment from a government hospital.
