The sixth day of the ‘Seven-day NSS Camp’ at Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala was packed with activities aimed at holistic development and community welfare. The day’s events were organized under the esteemed leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata and the efforts of Program Officers Shashi Bala, Asst. Prof. Satinder Kaur and Dr. Harsimran Kaur.

Dr. Reetu Kapoor delivered an insightful lecture on mental health, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being in today’s world. Asst. Prof. Ritika Maini shared strategies for managing stress and leading a balanced life. Asst. Prof. Vivek Kumar conducted an engaging session on the benefits of a healthy diet, encouraging participants to adopt nutritious eating habits for better physical and mental health.

Additionally, Asst. Prof. Samandeep Kaur enlightened the volunteers with a lecture on cyber security, highlighting the importance of staying vigilant in the digital age.

To teach the volunteers feelings of compassion towards the society, they were taken to Dr. Sukhdev Singh Kusht Ashram, Tafzalpura. Post lunch the NSS volunteers along with the NSS Program officers visited Baba Jiwan Singh colony for a massive cleanliness drivewhere volunteers took the initiative to clean the  area promoting hygiene and community responsibility. Following this the volunteers organized a rally advocating for environmental protection and the use of eco-friendly products raising awareness about sustainable practices.

Adding to the spirit of community and service, the volunteers enthusiastically prepared langar and served it in a pangat.
