Haryana power engineers demand withdrawal of show cause notices issued to officers

Haryana Power Engineers Association (HPEA) held protest gate meetings with black badges in Hissar and Panchkula seeking withdrawal of show cause notices issued to officers , restructuring of all the three power utilities as per work load norms and other issues .The gate meetings were attended by a large number of engineers showing discontent amongst engineers.
Ravindra Ghanghas General Secretary said that with the efforts of all the engineers, the suspension order of SDO Sonipat has been withdrawn and he has been transferred to another sub division.
The Association has once again written a letter to Managing Director UHBVN today , seeking time for a meeting to discuss the major issues being faced by engineers. The management has so for not given any time even after lapse of one month
Baljit Beniwal vice president said that the show cause notices are being issued to engineers without any basis, which is not only affecting the efficiency of the officers but also creating a negative atmosphere, which is detrimental to the work culture. The association has requested the administration to take appropriate action to resolve this problem.
All the three Nigams have not had any restructuring despite the fact that workload has been increased manifold. The number of consumers, transmission lines network has increased but administration has not done anything to streamline the working. Under difficult conditions officers are trying their best to meet consumers’ satisfaction. The management of all the three Nigams should start immediately to restructure the workload as per norms.
The Association has again requested the administration to take appropriate actions to resolve the issue.
