Exhilarating Athletics Meet 2025 hosted by The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University

On March 11, 2025 The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University , Patiala hosted an exhilarating Athletics Meet at Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education, Patiala under the guidance of University Registrar and College Principal Dr. Anubhav Walia.
ADC Patiala Isha Singhal attended the Athletics Meet as the Chief Guest and Dr.Rajbir Singh Gill Deputy Director of NIS, as the Guest of Honor.
The event commenced with a magnificent March past from the houses of both the university and the college, setting a spirit of unity and competition for the day ahead.
Athletes ( Male/ Female)displayed incredible talent across a variety of thrilling events, including:
– 100m Run
– 1500m Run
– 400m Run
– Shot Put
– Long Jump
– High Jump
– Tug of War
– Relay Races
The enthusiasm didn’t stop at athletics! Our talented students also showcased vibrant cultural performances, featuring stunning Bhangra,serene yoga demonstrations and captivating sport-themed dances that delighted the audience throughout the day.

Best Female Athlete: Roshni ( BPES 1 st Year student )
Best Athlete of the Year : Harkirat Singh ( Prof. Gursewak Singh Govt. College of Physical Education)
This remarkable event was diligently conducted by the dedicated teams from Master in physical education (MPED) Final, bachelor of physical education and sports (BPES) Final and bachelor of sports science (BSS) Final students, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
The meet was diligently conducted by the Director of the Meet, Dr. Sunman Kaur( Assistant Professor English) and Dr. Loveleen Bala ( Assistant Professor Physical Education)along with the entire staff of both the university and Gursewak College, whose hard work and commitment made this event a tremendous success.
