Mata Gujri College organises 51st Annual Athletic Meet

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib organised 51st Annual Athletic Meet. Dr. Roop Singh, Chief Secretary of SGPC was the chief guest and Ranjit Singh Libra, Honorary Secretary of College Governing body was the special guest of the day. Harpal Singh, S.P. (Ins.) Fatehgarh Sahib was the chief guest for the award distribution ceremony. In the 21 contingents of the March past held in the college, more than 1500 students took part.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed the guests and talked about the various achievements of the college in the field of studies and sports. Chief Secretary of SGPC Dr. Roop Singh addressed the students and remarked that they are blessed to be a part of such an institution which is reaching new heights with the blessings of Mata Gujri Ji.
He also said that such athletic meet create a platform for the students to take up sports enthusiastically and learn team work, discipline and leadership. Ranjit Singh Libra also told students to participate actively in sports for their mental and physical well- being.
The best athlete award was presented to Harmanjot Kaur in girls and Abhishek in boys. During this meet, Dr. Parminder Kaur Randhawa, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Dr. Harveen Kaur, Dr. Bikramjeet Singh Sandhu, Dr. Anupreet Singh Tiwana, Prof. Balwinder Singh, Prof. Harjit Kaur, Bahadur Singh, and staff members along with the students were present.
