Reshuffling in Punjab Cabinet, Arora allotted two key portfolios

As per reports, Punjab government has allotted Industry and NRI Affairs ministries to newly inducted cabinet minister Sanjiv Arora.
Till now Kuldip Singh Dhaliwal was holding the charge of NRI Affairs and Tarunpreet Singh Sond holds the charge of Industries department.
Arora was earlier administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at Punjab Raj Bhawan.
The oath taking ceremony, which was conducted by Chief Secretary, Punjab, KAP Sinha, IAS lasted for just 5-7 minutes. It began with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Governor administering oath to the new minister and signing the oath ,register by Sanjeev Arora. The ceremony ended with a rendition of the National Anthem.
In this brief ceremony, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, his wife Gurpreet Kaur Mann, and many other ministers and dignitaries were present at the oath taking ceremony.
Prominent amongst others present at the swearing-in included Cabinet Ministers Harpal Cheema, Harjot Bains, Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Baljit Kaur, Hardeep Singh Mundian , Mohinder Bhagat, Dr. Ravjot Singh, Barinder Goyal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Lal Chand Kataruchak, Gurmeet Singh Khudian and others were present on this occasion.
As per reports Kuldip Singh Dhaliwal has tendered his resignation as cabinet minister after today’s reshuffling and his department is given to newly inducted Ludhiana West MLA Sanjeev Arora. Official conformation of portfolios allotment, Dhaliwal’s resignation is still awaited.
