Harabhay Singh is Head Boy, Ishnoor is Head Girl of YPS for 2019-20

Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, held an Investiture Ceremony for the Academic session 2019-20 on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. It was an event to felicitate the new torch bearers amongst the students and to inculcate a sense of leadership and responsibility. A new prefectorial body was appointed in the ceremony.
The ceremony started during the special morning assembly conducted in the Amphitheatre today. All the staff and the students fore-gathered to attend the ceremony. The proud parents of the prefects were the special invitees of the occasion.
The event commenced when the whole Amphitheatre reverberated with the lyrics of the school song which was followed by a graceful parade by the prefects towards the stage. The YPS Director, Maj Gen Sanjiv Varma addressed the audience and sensitised the students about the importance and responsibilities of wearing the title of a leader. He conferred the newly elected prefects with badges, responsibilities and extended a supporting hand to the students’ council for smooth running of the school.
A total number of 21 students are elected as a part of the Prefectorial Board. Harabhay Singh has been appointed as the Head Boy and Ishnoor as the Head Girl of YPS for the academic year 2019-20. Apart from these, others were appointed as the House, Sports and Extra-Curricular Head.
An oath taking ceremony was administered by the Director where the prefects pledged to bestow their duties towards the school affairs and shoulder their responsibilities with best of their abilities. It was conducted with high degree of reverence, earnestness and passion.
The ceremony concluded on a holy note by offering prayer to the lord followed by the National Anthem.
