MP Manish Tewari inaugurates CCTV cameras in Ward No.16

Chandigarh MP and former Union Minister Manish Tewari inaugurated CCTV cameras installed in Ward No. 16, Sector 25, funded through a grant of Rs.10 lakh from his Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS), and dedicated them to the public. Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, MP Tewari said that his aim is the holistic development of his Lok Sabha constituency. He added that he has been continuously allocating grants from his MPLADS for fulfilling the city’s basic needs. In line with this, he sanctioned Rs.10 lakh for the installation of CCTV cameras to enhance the safety of the area’s residents. This initiative will also assist the police in keeping a check on anti-social elements.
Chandigarh Congress President Lucky expressed his gratitude to MP Tewari for his consistent efforts toward the city’s development. He noted that MP Tewari has been raising issues related to the city’s progress that have remained pending for many years.
Among others present were area councillor Poonam, Sandeep Kumar, councillor Hardeep Singh Saini, Maninder Pal Singh Sidhu and Imran Mansoori.
