Sri Anandpur Sahib to hold first ever session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha outside Chandigarh

The holy city sanctified with the footsteps of great Sikh Gurus will host the first ever session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha held outside the capital city of Chandigarh at Bhai Jaita ji memorial, the preparations for which are going on in full swing.
Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Himanshu Aggarwal, who has been entrusted with the charge of smooth conduct of this historic session by the state government, along with Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Varjeet Walia reviewed the arrangements for this mega event. They said that the event is part of the commemorative events being organized by the Punjab government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Himanshu Aggarwal and Varjeet Walia held detailed meetings with the officers of the Police and civil administration along with Vidhan Sabha secretariat.
Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar and Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar said that meticulous planning has already been done and the entire area of Bhai Jaita ji memorial where the Vidhan Sabha session will be held has been divided into different sectors. Himanshu Aggarwal and Varjeet Walia said that senior officers have been assigned on duty as sector incharges to ensure smooth and hassle free arrangements.
Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar and Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar asked the officers to perform the duties assigned to them meticulously and dedicatedly for making this event a huge success. They said that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and the officers must ensure that they perform their part well so that the event is conducted smoothly. Mr. Himanshu Aggarwal and Varjeet Walia said that every officer and official is duty bound to make this historic and prestigious event successful.
