AIIMS Bathinda observes White Coat Ceremony for MBBS fershers

AIIMS Bathinda celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for its newly admitted MBBS Batch of 2025 on 4th December 2025, marking the students’ formal induction into the medical profession.

The ceremony was graced by Padmashree Prof. (Dr.) Neerja Bhatla, President of AIIMS Bathinda, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Gupta, Executive Director, as the Guest of Honour. Their arrival was followed by the inauguration and lamp lighting, setting a solemn and inspiring tone for the event.

Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Gupta addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the White Coat Ceremony is not just a tradition but a symbol of responsibility, service, and lifelong dedication to humanity.

A special felicitation of the Honorable President was conducted by presenting her with a white coat. Prof. (Dr.) Neerja Bhatla then addressed the students, drawing from her extensive clinical and academic experience to encourage them to uphold empathy, professionalism, and ethical conduct throughout their journey. She also released the MBBS Booklet of the Institute.

Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Akhilesh Pathak acknowledged the contribution of parents in their wards’ academic journey, and Medical Superintendent Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Kumar highlighted the ethical duties integral to the medical profession.
