High Security Central Jail in Punjab turns into a Fight Club

As per reports one of Punjab’s high security prison, Central Jail Ludhiana superintendent Kulwant Singh Sidhu along with jail inmates, jail officials were injured in a fight between the two groups inside the jail premises.
Ludhiana central jail is managed by CRPF along with Punjab jail department, Punjab police and is one of the high security jail.
As per initial reports a clash broke out between inmates at the Central Jail, Ludhiana located on Tajpur Road at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. The fight escalated to such an extent that chaos erupted inside the jail, the situation went out of control, and Ludhiana Police Commissioner along with police from different police stations had to be called in.

According to sources, a heated argument broke out between two groups of inmates inside the jail, which soon turned into a physical altercation. Seeing the situation deteriorate, the jail administration immediately called senior officials to the spot to calm the situation and restore order.
After the incident, a tense atmosphere prevailed outside the jail. According to eyewitnesses, continuous siren sounds were coming from the jail, and vehicles of police officers were seen around the premises. Ambulances and additional police forces were also deployed. However, so far, the jail administration and the police have not issued any official statement regarding the incident, though the police administration claims that the situation has been brought under control.
