District administration fully committed to provide facilities for every devotee during Hola Mohalla – DC

Bahadurjeet Singh/royalpatiala.in News/ Anandpur Sahib, February 6, 2026          Rupnagar Deputy Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal reviewed the preparations for Punjab’s most important religious and cultural Hola Mohalla festival to be celebrated from February 27 to March 4 at Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib.

He said that providing facilities to the devotees coming on the occasion of Hola Mohalla would be the top priority of the district administration. On this holy day, lakhs of devotees from home and abroad will reach Sri Anandpur Sahib, so every department should work in coordination so that no pilgrim faces any problem.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure better connectivity of all roads, uninterrupted power supply, smooth arrangement of clean drinking water and full functioning of street lights in all the areas on all routes.

The Deputy Commissioner also laid special emphasis on smooth functioning of parking, fogging, cleaning and waste management and directed the health and veterinary teams to be alert and ready for immediate services.

He said that shuttle services will run smoothly in all the designated areas. Apart from this, help desks, CCTV cameras, LED information boards and other necessary facilities should be installed in time and made fully functional.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Maninder Singh said that the police department is fully prepared to maintain law and order during Hola Mohalla. Special attention will be paid to traffic control, management and security of devotees and police personnel will be deployed at key locations in a planned manner.

He also said that a strict vigil will be kept on anti-social elements to avoid any untoward incident. A detailed security plan including CCTV surveillance and joint patrolling will be in place during the festival.

Deputy Commissioner said that there will be no scope for negligence and all officers will perform their duties with complete honesty and “spirit of service”. He reiterated that the joint effort of all departments is aimed at making Hola Mohalla safe, smooth and a spiritually soothing experience for every devotee.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Chandrajyoti Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Avikesh Gupta, SP Arvind Meena, SDM Sri Anandpur Sahib Jaspreet Singh, SDM Morinda Gurdev Singh Dhamma, Assistant Commissioner Arvinderpal Singh Somal, DSP Nangal Harkirat Singh, Information Officer Harpreet Singh, District Sports Officer Jagjivan Singh Gill, District Mandi Officer Surinderpal, SHO Sri Anandpur Sahib Danishvir Singh, SHO Kiratpur Sahib Jatin Kapoor, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Bobby Gulati, ATO Sarabjit Singh Saini and other senior officials from various departments were present.
