Mata Gujri College Organises Lecture on Constitution Day

Gujri College,Fatehgarh Sahib organised a special lecture on Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of constitution of India. On this occasion, Dr. Jamshed Ali Khan (Former Dean Colleges, Punjabi University, Patiala) was the speaker of the day.

Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed the guest and highlighted the various aspects of Indian Constitution.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jamshed Ali Khan said “The constitution of India is the supreme law of India. It is the symbol of Independent India and a great instrument of social and political change.  It is the responsibility of every citizen to respect our constitution.”

“Constitution declares India a soverign, socialist, secular, democratic republic ensuring its citizen of justice, equality and liberty”, he added. He also explained the philosophy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Prof. Bikramjit Singh Sandhu extended a vote of thanks to the distinguished guests. On this occasion, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Dr. Harveen Kaur, Prof. Anupreet Singh, Prof. Satnam Singh,  staff members and students were present.
