Nukkad play, Aakhir KadoTak staged in GKU

A nukkad play titled “AakhirKadoTak” was staged in Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo by Red Arts Theater Group. It was performed by the students of Department of Theatre (Punjabi University, Patiala). JeetBhangu, Mintu Kaka, Yosuf Masih, and Navi Singh enthralled the audience by their performance.

The play, written by Deep Jagdeep, showcases the critical issue of Drug Addiction in the youth of Punjab and exhibits the pernicious effects of drugs on them. Dr. Harpreet Kaur Aulakh, Incharge Cultural and Social Welfare Committee acknowledged the artists for their dynamic efforts which intended to create awareness amongst the youth in the educational institutes, villages and cities.She added that the University would regularly organize such events so that our youth remain alert about the social evils of society.

The Vice-Chancellor, Col.Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal said that drug menace is one of the crucial issues of our society and we should take effective steps to counter this hazard which is mutilating the lives of our budding generation.

The event was also attended by Pro- Vice Chancellor, GKU Dr. Jagpal Singh, Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar,  Dr. Narinder Singh Director Finance, Dr. Ashwani Sethi, Dr. Amit Tuteja and Prof. Sukhdavinder Singh Kaurra. The Vice-Chancellor, Col.Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal and Dr. Harpreet Kaur Aulakh felicitated the artists with souvenirs. The Managing Director also lauded the event and affirmed that the youth should come ahead to counter such social evils of our society.
