Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur today issued a statement describing the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ as the beginning of a “golden era” for the women of India. She stated that the Act is not merely a law, but a transformative step towards turning the dreams of crores of daughters into reality and restoring their rightful dignity and representation.
Jai Inder Kaur said that under this legislation, a historic decision has been taken to reserve 33% of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, marking a landmark step in the direction of women’s empowerment.
She further stated that the Act, passed in 2023, is now moving rapidly towards implementation, and the Modi Government has addressed the technical hurdles that stood in its way, ensuring that women receive their rightful place in governance at the earliest.
Former Member of Parliament Preneet Kaur, in her statement, said that this is not merely a political promise, but a guarantee of women’s safety, dignity, and equal participation in power. She stated that to realize the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat,’ the leadership of the nation must increasingly rest in the hands of women, symbolizing the progressive and forward-looking spirit of New India.
Jai Inder Kaur and Preneet Kaur expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Central Government, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for this revolutionary step. They stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, women today are excelling in every field and contributing significantly to the nation’s progress.
