A web talk by Anuj Jain, Founder and CEO of Orchestra Technology in Dallas, United States, marked the concluding session of the two-day International Conference on Engineering Research and application (ERA-2017) organized by the University School of Engineering and Technology, Rayat Bahra University, here today.
Anuj Jain, who has been CEO of Orchestra Technology since March 2011, and an entrepreneur at heart with a unique mix of business and technology acumen, dwelt on the ongoing research scenario.
Earlier during the day plenary sessions were presided over by Dr Mehtab Alam. Dean, Department of Civil Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia, Dr SS Dhami, Professor, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, an autonomous institute of Ministry of Human Resource and Development, and Nitin Gandhi: Co-Founder & CEO of Shapecrunch, shared their expertise in their respective fields with the attending delegates.
Prof V Rihani, University School of Engineering and Technology, Rayat Bahra University, expressed optimism that the deliberations at the two-day international conference would go a long way in collaborating research work done by scientists, academicians, engineers, practitioners, scholars involved directly or indirectly with the Make in India initiative of the Union government.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr SS Pattnaik, Director National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), who enlightened the audience by his views on the ongoing research scenario and the importance of such conferences to produce quality research papers. Furthermore, he motivated the budding engineers to play an instrumental role in growth of the nation via research.
Eminent experts from the field of engineering and computer applications from across different countries had converged here to take part in the two-day International Conference.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said the University was highly focused on quality academics and research. Rayat Bahra University conducts education programmes in 125+ courses.
Dr Raj Singh, Vice-chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said the conference had brought together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from different parts of the world.
