Punjab cadre senior IAS officer goes on central deputation; another gets additional charge as DG of a key ministry

Punjab cadre senior IAS officer Nilkanth S. Avhad, of 1999 batch, presently in the cadre, as Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. Presently Neelkanth is Principal Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation, Punjab government.
Another IAS officer of 2001 batch of Punjab cadre, already in central deputation Priyank Bharti, presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. The officer will also hold the additional charge of the post of Director General, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
