Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University’s Law Student Excels at National Moot Court Competition

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, has once again earned laurels as Gurjot Kaur, a student of B.A.LL.B. (1st Year) at the University School of Law, was adjudged Best Researcher in the National Moot Court Competition organised by Central University of Karnataka.
The competition was held from 13th March to 11th April. She achieved this distinction among 18 teams representing various reputed law institutions across the country.
Lauding her remarkable achievement, Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University, stated that moot court competitions should form an integral part of the law curriculum. He emphasized that such competitions play a vital role in preparing students for real courtroom advocacy by honing their skills in legal research, drafting, and argumentation, while also instilling the confidence essential for professional legal practice.

Prof. (Dr.) Amita Kaushal, Dean, University School of Law, expressed satisfaction at the enthusiastic participation of students in various national-level moot court competitions. Dr. Navneet Kaur, Convenor, Moot Court Competitions, along with other faculty members, appreciated the students’ active involvement in both intra-departmental and national moot competitions.
She also commended the diligent efforts of the Moot Court Coordinator and faculty members for their consistent guidance and rigorous preparation of the participants.
