Serving PCS officer taken into police custody over alleged land scam

Anupreet Kaur Randhawa, a PCS officer serving as SDM in Gurdaspur, was taken into custody this morning by Patti Police.
As per available information the matter is being linked to alleged embezzlement in land acquired for the Jammu and Kashmir–Rajasthan Highway project.
In this connection, a case involving alleged embezzlement of Rs1.63 crore had already been registered against Anupreet Kaur Randhawa. Barindermeet Singh Pahra had also raised the issue of corruption allegations against SDM Anupreet Kaur during the Zila Parishad elections.
Earlier Charumita , PCS officer was suspended on the same kind of allegations. But later was reinstated after few months.
