Punjab IPS officer sent on central deputation; another deputed officer gets new posting

Sandeep Kumar Garg, IPS(PB:2012) has been inducted as Deputy Inspector General in National Investigation Agency(NIA) on deputation basis.
Presently he is posted as DIG/ Punjab Police Intelligence Wing (Supervise AIG/SBII in the matters related to Social Media Cell, TV Media Cell, Technical Analysis Cell and Data Center). The appointment places him in one of India’s premier counter-terror investigation agencies.
Last month his wife, 2012-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer Surbhi Malik had also gone on central deputation and appointed as Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, New Delhi.
In another update Dr. Sachin Gupta, IPS(PB:2014) who is already on central deputation and working as Superintendent of Police, Bureau of Police Research and Development has been posted as Addl. Deputy Commissioner/Joint Assessor & Collector, Municipal Corporation of Delhi
