Medico student found dead in Patiala; police investigating friend’s role

In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old MBBS final-year student, Kamaldeep, was murdered. He was a final year student at Government Medical College Patiala.
His body was found in his rented room located in the posh locality of New Lal Bagh, opposite Polo Ground, behind the college, Patiala. He was a resident of Bareta in Mansa district. Although the investigation is still ongoing, it is suspected that the murder was committed by one of his friends, who reportedly stayed in his room during the night and left early the next morning.
The police suspect that he was murdered on Monday morning, but the incident came to light only on Monday night when another friend, Rahul, came to the room and discovered the body. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
As per reports he watched IPL match last night along with the suspected murderer. Later he was brutally killed with sharp edged weapon.
