1,000 Meritorious Students Honoured at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab

Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab (LTSU) organized a grand Educators Conclave, Career Counselling & Felicitation Ceremony for Outstanding Class 12 Students, bringing together distinguished leaders from government, industry, academia, and school education. The event witnessed participation from more than 1,000 students representing over 150 schools across six cities along with principals, teachers, parents, and education stakeholders.
Sachin Jain, Executive Director Admissions & Corporate Relations welcomed all and highlighted the importance of career awareness, industry-linked education, and skill development for India’s youth and A brief presentation on LTSU was delivered by Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Executive Dean, Commerce & Management showcasing the university’s industry-incubated model, internship-integrated learning ecosystem, and strong focus on employability.
Advocate Dinesh Chadha, MLA, Rupnagar emphasized that skills are the foundation of success in life.He appreciated the remarkable growth of Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab and noted that the university has emerged as a nationally recognized institution, attracting students from 24 states across India He further remarked that Rupnagar is rapidly evolving into an important educational hub with prestigious institutions such as IIT Ropar, NIELIT Ropar, and LTSU contributing significantly to the region’s educational development.
Manmeet Kakkar, Assistant State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Punjab highlighted the growing importance of skill-based education aligned with industry requirements.
He encouraged students to make informed career choices, remain committed to continuous learning, and focus on hard work and perseverance. He emphasized that educational institutions must play a proactive role in career counselling so that students can successfully navigate the rapidly changing employment landscape.
Addressing the gathering, Viqaruddin Surki, Delivery Head, IBM Innovation Centre for Education stressed that technical knowledge alone is not sufficient for success in today’s workplace.

He explained that communication skills, networking abilities, collaborative working, problem-solving, and professional conduct are equally important alongside technical competencies. He encouraged students to develop a balanced skill set that combines technology expertise with strong interpersonal capabilities
Sharing his vision, Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab stated that the university is committed to transforming higher education through industry integration, innovation, and experiential learning.
He highlighted that LTSU continues to strengthen partnerships with leading industries and technology organizations to ensure that students receive practical exposure, internships, certifications, and employment-oriented learning opportunities
Vimal Manhotra, CEO, stated that the future belongs to institutions that successfully bridge the gap between education and industry.
Dr H P S Dhami, Executive Dean Engineering highlighted the importance of technology-driven education and practical skill development in preparing future engineers and innovators.
Dr. N S Gill, Executive Dean Pharmacy emphasized the growing opportunities in healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.
One of the major highlights of the event was the felicitation of meritorious Class 12 students. More than 1,000 students from six cities and over 150 schools participated in the ceremony. Students were honoured with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals based on their academic achievements in Class 12 examinations.
The university also felicitated distinguished guests, school principals, and educators in recognition of their outstanding contribution towards education and student development.
