Punjab government to appoint 42 Law Officers

Punjab government ,department of Home Affairs & Justice is going to appoint law officers. They are going to invite applications from eligible advocates / candidates for engagement as law officers in the office of Advocate General, Punjab at Chandigarh, to defend the case for and on behalf of State of Punjab.
As per the information department of Home Affairs & Justice is going to recruit 6 Additional Advocate Generals, 11 Senior Deputy Advocate General, 7 Deputy Advocate General and 18 Assistant Advocate General.
A designated Senior Advocate having not less than 16 years of standing can apply for the post of Additional Advocate General. Likewise an advocate with 14 years of standing can apply for the post of Senior Deputy Advocate General, an advocate with 10 years of standing can apply for the post of Deputy Advocate General, and an advocate with 3 years of standing can apply for the post of Assistant Advocate General.
5% posts of Law Officers shall be filled up from the amongst the persons who are or have been a member of the Service under the Punjab Prosecution and Litigation (Group A) Service Rules 2002 in the rank of District Attorney or above.
