Today Patiala District administration under the command of Deputy Commissioner Patiala Kumar Amit played a friendly cricket match with inmates of Patiala Central Jail. DC Patiala led the administration team DC-11 and won the match.
Jail inmates won the toss and elected to bat. In the stipulated over of 20, Jail inmates gave a target of 152 runs to DC-11 team. In a tight friendly match DC-11 achieve the given target of 152 in 19.4 overs and won the match.
District & Sessions Judge Sanjeev Berry, Inspector General of Patiala Zone AS Rai, Deputy Inspector General Patiala Range Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, SSP Patiala Dr. S Bhupati, SSP Fatehgarh Sahib Alka Meena along with other jail inmates watched this interesting friendly match and enjoyed it fully.
Present dignitaries also honoured the winning team. DC Patiala Kumar Amit motivates the jail inmates to become a good citizen after they complete their jail terms and encouraged them to participate in games. He also listened to the grievances of Jail inmates and directed the jail officials to look into those problems.
Jail superintendent Rajan Kapoor informed about the facilities being provided to Jail inmates. He further informed that every care is taken and cultural programmes were arranged for these jail inmates.
Additional jail superintendent Gurcharan Singh Dhaliwal, SP(D) harwinder Singh Virk, SP City Kesar Singh Dhaliwal, SP (H) Fatehgarh sahib Sharanjit Singh Dhillon were also present.
