Chitkara University NSS volunteers selected to participate in the Republic Day Parade

NSS Volunteers Ankita from Chitkara University Punjab, Department of Nursing & Vaishnavi Raj from Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh, School of Engineering and Technology have brought laurels to the University by qualifying their way into the Republic Day Parade Camp to be held at New Delhi. They qualified for the Republic Day Parade after clearing sessions of vigorous training and hardwork at the NSS Pre-Republic Day Parade Camps organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
Duo of Ankita and Vaishnavi will get an opportunity to meet many eminent personalities includingPresident of India, Vice President of India & Prime Minister of India,
Congratulating both the students, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, said that the participation in Republic Day parade on 26th Jan is considered to be a matter of great pride for the Students. It is also treated as recognition of the selfless community service rendered by the NSS volunteers throughout the country”
This accomplishment has been hugely appreciated by all concerned as it has inspired other students too for achieving such milestones in future.
Earlier Chitkara university hosted a 10-Day Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp, which was managed entirely by the NSS Officials, student volunteers and contingent leaders, and included activities like Shramdan, Yoga, Community Singing, Parade Practice, Academic Lectures, Discussions, Quiz, Debate and evening Cultural Programmes, planned for the participants.
