Students of Khalsa College organised charity event under Ardaas Foundation

Students and teachers of School of Commerce and Management, Khalsa College, Patiala donated spare goods in form of clothes, footwear, bed-sheets and blankets to the poor and the needy in and around Patiala. This initiative was taken under Ardas Foundation. The event proved to be an eye-opener for students, teaching them the most important lesson of education, that is, developing the feelings of empathy and responsibility towards others.

Principal of the college Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha appreciated the initiative of the students to share the happiness with the underprivileged people and bring smiles to their faces. He encouraged students to become sensitive towards the needs of the people who are neglected by the society.

He was pleased by the involvement of teachers in the initiative and motivated the staff to indoctrinate good moral and ethical values in students along with imparting basis education. Further, Dr. Ubha said that it is the duty of every individual to make our society a better place for everyone to live in and remove social and economic disparities.

Head of the department Dr. Jasleen Kaur appreciated the gesture of the students and motivated them to undertake such initiatives in the future also. Controller Examinations Dr. Ravinderjit Singh was also present on the occasion. The staff as well as the students participated in the event wholeheartedly.
