Mother dared to thrash a youth in market for making obscene gesture to her daughter

A youth was stripped and thrashed by a mother along with other ladies in Ambala city Jain Market for allegedly making obscene gestures at her minor girl.
The girl was so scared that she refused to go to school. Later the girl had informed her mother that a youth made obscene gestures, when she passes a market, while going to the school.
The woman consoled her minor daughter and followed her in the morning along with other family members. As the girl, along with two other minor girls, was passing through a street, they noticed the youth making obscene gestures at the girls. They caught the youth on the spot and stripped him, thrashed him in the market itself.
The passersby even tried to stop to the women, to not to trash the youth, but the mother and her accomplice said ”police will not take any action against him and will free him”. Even some bystanders said” the suspect had no remorse and strict action should be taken against him.”
The woman said, “The youth used to make obscene gestures and hold the hands of my daughter. My daughter had an exam, but she was not ready to go to school. When I asked her the reason, she told me about this youth following which we decided to teach him a lesson.” The suspects works in a shop at the market.
Videos of the youth being stripped and thrashed went viral on the social media.
The SHO of the women police station, Sunita Dhaka, said “a case has been registered under Section 12 of the POCSO Act and Section 506 of the IPC on a complaint of the minor’s mother. He will be produced before a court”
Senior police officials said, “The matter has come to their notice and appropriate action will be taken against the person, but stripping a person in the market is also not right. Police is here to listen and to solve their problems. They further said that action will be initiated against those who stripped him if a complaint is received against them.”
