Vivek Kumar CAO hoisted the National flag at DMW Patiala

71st Republic Day was celebrated at Diesel Loco Modernization Works, Patiala, a Production Unit of Indian Railways, with a lot of favour and gaiety. Vivek Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer hoisted the National flag and took salute from the contingent of Railways Production Force . This was followed by cultural programme presented by DMW Cultural Team . All the Administrative Building was decorated with lights by DMW electrical Department.
Vivek Kumar while addressing the gathering lauded the performance of DMW employees for achieving the highest ever production figurer Rs. 1707 Crore during first nine months of the current financial year which is 32% more than the previous year. DMW manufactured 65 new WAP7 Electric Locos, 34 DETC(Diesel Electric Tower Cars, 03 IOH/POH Alco Locos and Rebuild 06 Diesel Locos from April 2019 to Dec. 2020. And congratulated the DMW Staff/Officers for generating 19.76 lac units of electricity by Solar power plant installed in DMW Workshop and Colony and DMW saved Rs.1.52 crores with solar generation and also got first prize ( a shield & Merit certificate) among all Production Units of Indian Railways during the National Energy Conservation Award 2019 (NECA) organised by Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency, New Delhi.
Paying rich tributes to martyrs, Vivek Kumar reminded DMW staff the qualities like patriotism, hard work, unity, mutual co-operation and justice were the need of the hour so that our hard earned “Freedom” could be preserved forever.
While concluding, he appealed to all DMW employees to maintain National Integration and harmony and continuously strive to improve the quality and production of DMW and maintaining environment friendly standards.
