Patiala Heritage Festival-Programme of Events

District administration Patiala revealed the programme of Heritage Mela to be held from 21st Feb to 27 Feb.

DC Kumar Amit said .on the inauguration day of SARAS Mela on 21 Feb, 150 artist of different state will perform and  in the evening Heritage Mela will be inaugurated at Qila Mubarak where a musical performance by Sufi Poet Madan Gopal Singh will be held. On 27th Feb on the concluding day Light and sound programme on Jang-e-Saragarhi directed by Harbaksh Singh Latta at NIS will be held.

On 22 Feb at 7:30 am in the morning a cycle rally will be flagged off from NIS . From NIS that will pass through Shahi Samadhan, Gur Mandi,Qila Mubarak, Adalat Bazar, Dharampura Bazar, Sheran Wala Gate, Kali Devi Temple, Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, Passey Road,Children Memorial Chowk, Rink Hall and cumulate at Baradari Gardens. In the evening Patiala Gharana Classical Singer Pandit  Ajoy Chakravarthy and Banaras Gharana Chunni Lal Mishra will perform at Qila Mubarak .

On 23 Feb at 10 AM an Aero Modeling and Stunt Biking show will be organized at Patiala Aviation Club, Sangrur Road. In the evening Sitar Mastero Sujit Khan and Padam Bhushan Classical Singer  Pandit Ulhas Kalashkar will perform at Qila Mubarak .

On 24 Feb morning, a cricket match will be played at Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium and in the evening a classical singing night by Mastero Rashid Khan and Kathak Dance by Miss Manjari Chaturvedi will perform at Qila Mubarak.

On 25 Feb morning a Blind Car Rally be organized at Polo Ground . In the evening a performance by classical singer duo- Pandit Rajan-Sajan Mishra  will perform at Qila Mubarak.

On 26th Feb a Cactus Competition and a flower show will be organized at Baradrai Garden. In the evening a Qawali performance by Mastero Nasir Ahmed Warsi and Pop Singer Harshdeep Kaur  will perform at YPS ground.

On 27 Feb a Heritage Walk will be flagged off from Shahi Samadhan to Chattha Nanumal, Bartan Bazar, Shiv Mandirand conclude at Qila Mubarak.

An exhibition will also be held at NZCC head office from 21-27 Feb where rare hand written religious granths, old paintings, old coins etc will be displayed.
