Punjab govt issue guidelines to be implemented in phase 3 lockdown; clarify on industrial operations

Punjab govt has issued a fresh guideline, applicable from today May, 4, 2020 in third phase of lockdown. A letter is issued to all the divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners; inspector general of police, ssp’s along with others concerned officers of the state, about the modalities for implementation of these guidelines, for containment of COVID 19.
One of the major clarifications given in this guideline is about industrial operations. The letter clarifies that “ as per Minitry of Home Affairs guidelines of 01.05.2020, the industries which were in operation before the lockdown on 24.03.2020 will not require permission to resume their operations. It also state that the industries which were permitted to operate as per MHA guidelines dated 24.03.2020 and 15.04.2020 will not require any permission of district authorities to resume their operations.
