GNDU amongst the top 10 State Public Universities of India

After having made its mark on the national arena Guru Nanak Dev University has been given its due pride of place by an international assessment agency of “Centre for World University Ranking (CWUR)”- a leading evaluation agency in the world of higher education, which has been engaged in grading the top ranking universities world-wide on the basis of stringent objective parameters since 2012. It is a matter of great honour that the Guru Nanak Dev University has been placed amongst top 10 state public universities of India. It is also worth mentioning that Guru Nanak Dev University is now among the top 9% universities of the world. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is the top ranking institute from India followed by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.
It is pertinent to say that Guru Nanak Dev University is one of the top ranking universities in the northern region of India as is evident from the fact that it has been accredited as the “University with A++ Grade (highest level as per modified criteria)” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, “University with Potential for Excellence” & “Category-I University” by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
The ranking list contains a total number of twenty thousand universities from all over the world, thereby making CWUR list the largest academic ranking of the global universities. These university rankings are rankings of the institutions in higher education on the basis of various parameters and yearly quantifiable characteristics. These rankings are combination of seven objectives and robust indicators such asquality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, research performance including research output, high-quality publications, influence, citations etc.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.Jaspal Singh Sandhu said that this achievement could only be made possible because of the continuous efforts and commitment of the University to excel in all the fields viz., academics, research, sports and co-curricular activities. He further reiterated the commitment of the University to strive for higher excellence in various fields in the years to come.
