Covid 19 update; cases coming; banks contributing in new cases in Patiala-Civil Surgeon

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 135 new cases were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 184 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today 107 cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 1484 mark. Positive cases in Patiala go up to 2320 with todays new cases and active cases goes to 721.

Out of these 135 cases, 72 reported from Patiala, 22 from Rajpura, 21 from nabha , 7 from Samana, and rest from different villages of the district. In Patiala district one third of cases were detected in contact tracing / micro containment zones and rest from flu type symptoms.

Six from Azad Nagar of Patiala, Urban Estate Phase Two to Five, Aman Nagar, Four from Adalat Bazar, Three from Preet Nagar, Ghuman Nagar, Pathak Vihar, Vikas Nagar, Ekta Nagar, Urban Estate 1, Sundar Nagar, Gurbakhsh Colony Gandhi Nagar, Bank Colony two each cases, Darshan Singh Nagar, Officer Enclave, Bhupindra Road, Baba Jeewan Singh Nagar, Karah Wala Chowk, Gobind Nagar, Tej Bagh Colony, Mehr Singh Colony, Sudan Street, SST Nagar,Gol Gappa Chowk, Charan Bagh, Samania Gate, Khalsa Mohalla, New Mahindra Colony, Bajwa Colony, Malwa Enclave, Bhan Colony, Mohalla Kabadia Wala, Dashmesh Colony, Mandir Marg, Chhoti Barandri, Vikas Colony, Navtej Nagar, Triveni Chowk , Guru Nanak Nagar, Ajit Nagar, Ghas Mandi, Government Flat Medical College, Rajindra Nursing Hostel, Shish Mahal, Jujhar Nagar, one case from each locality.

Four from New Officer Colony, Rajpura, Gobind Colony, KSM Road, Ram Dev Colony, Near Siv Mandir, Two Two, Gandhi Colony, Gurudwara Road, Amir Colony, Near Civil Hospital, Rajpura, Gaushala Road, Sham Nagar , One from Guru Arjan Dev Colony. Three from Shiva Enclave, Nabha, Dr. Ram Krishna Street, Vikas Colony, Two from New Basti, Ripudaman Mohalla, Ajit Nagar, Shivpuri Colony, Patel Nagar, Bedian Street, Motia Bazar, Sangatpura Mohalla, Dera Purana Hathi Khana, Ajay Colony, Kamla Colony, Gill Street, One from Batta Street, Three from Agarsen Colony, Samana, Two from Machhi Hata, One each from Shiv Sakti Vatika Colony and Gharama Patti. Covid positive cases have been reported from 13 different villages, including two pregnant women, two health workers and a policeman.

Dr. Malhotra informed that  two covid positive patients have died in the district, bringing the number of covid patients to 45 in the district so far. A chronic thealassemic  patient who had been undergoing a treatment at PGI for the last 18 days, died today. Another patient, a 64-year-old resident of Preet Nagar, Patiala who is suffering from diabetes, BP, was admitted to Rajindra Hospital on July 29 due to other illnesses and also died at Rajindra Hospital yesterday.

He said that it was becoming clear that once a case was detected in a bank, the cases increases due to public dealing so he appealed to the branch in-charge of all the banks to ensure compliance with the instructions issued to avoid covid, keeping the dealing in mind.
