Sangat responded hugely during ‘Vand Chakko Camp’ at World University-VC

On the second day of Shahidi Sabha, various functions were organized by Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib to pay homage to the incomparable martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri Ji These events include Cancer care camp, physiotherapy and homeopathy camp, book exhibitions, turban tying camp and screening of documentary related to Sikhism organized by the University. Beside this ‘Vand Chakko’ Camp which is a unique initiative taken by the University in association with the Sukrit Trust, Ludhiana to serve the sangat. Dr. Birbikram Singh, Dean Alumni of the University mentioned that household items such as clothes, shoes, utensils, toys, books, stationery, gadgets, blankets / quilts, envelopes, etc were shared at the University gate. Dr. Singh said that not only the staff of the educational institutions of SGPC in Fatehgarh Sahib but also the Sangat from all over Punjab also contributed in this camp.
Sangat responded hugely during ‘Vand Chakko Camp’ at World University-VC. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of World University Dr. Prit Pal Singh said that the main objective of these events and service activities conducted by the University during Shahidi Sabha was to spread awareness about Sikh heritage among the sangats from far and wide so that they could learn from the unparalleled martyrdom of Sahibzada’s and Mata Gujri Ji. He also said that for this purpose a special survey of youth and children has been conducted by the university with the main objective of making them aware about Gurmat ideology and Sikh principles. On this occasion, Dean Research, Dr. R.K. Sharma, all the teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the University were present.
