He said, what we are eating, we must know the concept behind it. Everything has its own value but not suitable for all the time. Diseases are also seasonal and some products are good in one season, but are not recommended in other season.

He further informed that we must take sweetish before the starting of the meal, not at the end, as prevalent. Likewise we must have a little water during our meal. We must avoid salted curd, raita , during winters . Instead we must take curd with sugar (bura) , ghee. Try to have two baked meals a day –morning and evening and one fruit meal in between the day. It’s good to walk 100 steps after every meal.

He also cautioned to not to sleep in the day time. If anybody has a routine, then they must take a short sleep in the day.  He said honey is good for children and cow ghee is middle age and oil (til) for old age.

Dr Dinesh, president of the PMA thanks Vaid Manu Vats, for  sharing these valuable information and sparing time from his schedule, for PMA members. He can be contacted at 9814830356.
