Crisis in Punjab Congress; MLAs in Delhi; leave their people in the midst of crisis-Mohindru

It is conspicuously visible that Punjab Congress is a divided house. A few are relishing the present Government very much, while there is a section which is ignored by the Captain government. The fissure between CM Capt. Amarinder Singh and the dissidents within the party has reachedthe AICC panel which has been set up to stop the infighting within the Punjab Unit and to strengthen the party ahead of Assembly Elections.

The Congress MLAs with their accusations are meeting the three-member committee which is led by the leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, with former Delhi MP, JP Agarwal, and Harish Rawat, AICC general secretary who is In-charge of Punjab Affairs as members of the constituted panel.

It is feared that the currentinfighting episode among party leaders amid the second wave of Covid 19will not go well among the voters. There would be a growing antipathy that government is not at all bothered about their health and safety and MLAs and Cabinet Ministers are running here and there only to get plum positions in the cabinet.

Prof. Pankaj Mohindru, Chairman of Human Rights Cell, Congress Party told the press that it is highly unfortunate on the part of elected Congress party MLAs to rush to Delhi at a time when the health system is totally in the doldrums due to the ongoing catastrophe. It is disgraceful and shameful on their part to leave their people in the midst of crisis when the number of casualties due to the Covid-19 epidemic is extremely high in the state.

Crisis in Punjab Congress; MLAs in Delhi; leave their people in the midst of crisis-Mohindru. The voters generally have high hopes from their elected representatives and this health crisis is the best possible occasion for the elected MLAs by ensuring the best possible health facilities in their respective constituencies to combat Covid 19 effectively.
